Interim Chief Technology Officer to Pilot New Electronic Trading Platform

An up and coming open market electronic trading platform backed by major banks as well as a global financial data analytics provider was seeking a strong interim technology lead to own the platform buildout. They needed someone with recent experience in market exchange technology, especially with high-frequency trading platforms, while also having specific experience with credit market trading programs such as collateralized loan obligations (CLO) and syndicated loan products.

BTG paired the client with an interim CTO to get the ball rolling on the initial stage of a new trading platform and lay the groundwork before the incoming permanent CTO joined a few months later. Bringing more than 15 years’ experience leading complex development projects in financial technology as well as markets technology, the talent worked closely with an external technology vendor supplying modular build components and outsourced-technology teams to build the new trading platform from the ground up.
