The nature of work—how it’s done and by whom—is changing. Independent talent is on the rise, especially at the high end, where super-skilled executives and consultants dwell. They know—and so do the most nimble companies—that traditional, permanent employment is not the only way to get work done. This is the future of work. This is the new talent economy.
